Job title: Fleet Support Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) - Onsite

About the Role Join Alstom as a full-time onsite Fleet Support Engineer (Electrical/Electronics). You’ll apply electrical/electronic engineering expertise to enhance reliability, safety, and performance of APM vehicles and wayside systems, collaborating with software, signalling, and systems teams across the business.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and validate electrical/electronic engineering solutions for APM vehicles
  • Prepare and manage engineering change documentation for electrical systems
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and upgrades of electrical subsystems
  • Collaborate with software, signalling, and systems engineers to ensure integrated solutions
  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
  • Act as a liaison between Operations & Maintenance Site Engineering and the cognizant APM Design Authority
  • Travel up to 50% or more, including short-notice assignments
  • Demonstrate leadership, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
  • Hands-on experience with complex automation/control systems, heavy-industry electrical/electronic systems, or power-plant systems (experience with vehicle electrical systems, signaling, and wayside equipment desired)
  • Experience or understanding of APM, rail, or similar electrical/electronic engineering roles
  • Familiarity with electrical standards and safety regulations
  • Strong communication skills for technical justification and collaboration
  • Ability to travel 50% or more, including short-notice assignments
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software, signaling, and systems engineers
  • Organizational skills for managing engineering change documentation

Nice to Have

  • Progress towards becoming a subject matter expert in electrical/electronic systems for APM vehicles and wayside systems
  • Experience with wiring, power distribution, control systems, onboard electronics, and signaling interfaces
  • Interest in contributing to innovative projects across functions and countries
