Fleet Assist

About the Role The Fleet Assist is a part-time field support role responsible for keeping vehicles clean, inspected, and dispatch-ready for the next day’s operation. You’ll perform daily post-route inspections, document damage or maintenance concerns, maintain interior cleanliness, verify equipment, and assist the Fleet Manager with fleet readiness and compliance. What You'll Do

• Perform complete daily vehicle inspections returning from route each day using company-approved inspection software and procedures.
• Document all vehicle damage, cleanliness issues, and maintenance concerns; photograph damage when required.
• Immediately report safety concerns or out-of-service vehicles to the Fleet Manager.
• Verify all inspections are completed before leaving each shift.
• Clean the interior of every assigned vehicle each evening; remove trash and debris; vacuum floors; wipe dashboards, steering wheels, cup holders, door panels, and frequently touched surfaces; ensure vehicles meet cleanliness standards before the next dispatch.
• Inspect every parking spot bag and verify required equipment is present, including phone charger and fuel.
• Schedule: Approximately 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Actual hours may vary based on operational needs).
• Environment: Outdoor work in varying weather conditions; VDW Logistics provides equipment and supplies to perform duties. What We're Looking For
• Availability to cover all 7 days/nights for inspections (2 part-time positions).
• Experience performing daily vehicle inspections, documenting issues, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance.
• Proficiency with smartphone/tablet inspection apps; ability to photograph damage.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Compensation & Benefits
• $18.00 per hour; part-time schedule roughly 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM; actual hours may vary.
• Outdoors work environment; equipment and supplies provided by VDW Logistics to safely perform duties.
