Job Title: Fitness Instructor (26/27) - NFWS

Job Description Summary The Fitness Instructor is responsible for leading movement classes at the Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research. This is a non-federal work study position, but will consider those with federal work study also. Please apply.

Specific Duties

• Instruct fitness and well-being classes
• Record attendance
• Provide a safe environment for participants

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience instructing others in movement required. Preferably traditional group fitness and/or dance classes (i.e. yoga, pilates, dance, hip-hop, HIIT, etc)
• Yoga instructors must be certified
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer service
• Must be a ULV student

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year experience leading movement classes with preference to those who have a group exercise certification

• CPR/AED certified preferred but not required at hire

Benefits Summary

Employees are eligible for the following benefits: One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours. In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
