Position Overview: thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc. is currently seeking a first shift setup welder in our Milwaukee, WI location. The overall objective of this position is to fit and weld together fabricated components from flat plate and structural shapes into machinery frames, planetary coolers, round shells, and miscellaneous other fabrications. Materials include mild and stainless steel up to 5 inches thick.
Starting salary: from $28 per hour
Status: Ongoing recruitment, entry date flexible
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Setup components by layout, fitting, welding, and cleaning to create finished weldments. This includes reading and interpretation of engineering drawings, tolerances, and welding symbols.
- Flux core and submerged arc welding.
