Duties and responsibilities
- This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will be on-the-job training and will work under the Supervision of an experienced officer. Duties and Responsibilities will entail:- simple maintenance of fire-fighting appliance and assistance during emergency cases
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade 'D' PLAIN or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
- Fireman II certificate from a recognized fire service Training school.
- First Aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John's Ambulance or Kenya institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution;
- Be physically fit
- Be certified medically fit by a Government Doctor
- Have a Certificate in computer applications skills.
- (Driving Certificate, diving and rescue skills will be an added advantage)
