Fire Assay operator role performing simple to moderately complex analyses to determine precious metals content in geological samples, alloys, and production waste. You will support laboratory operations by preparing solutions and maintaining sample handling and documentation.
Conduct simple to moderately complex analyses to determine precious metals content in geological samples, alloys, and production waste. Prepare titrated and percent solutions. Manage the weighing of samples, batching, melting, casting of alloys, sampling, and cupellation of samples. Maintain orderly sample handling at all stages of processing. Record all work performed. Perform shift handover, cleaning and washing, disinfection of serviced equipment and utilities, cleaning of the workspace, tools, and instruments, and ensure they are kept in proper condition.
Ability to perform laboratory analyses for precious metals and maintain accurate documentation of results. Ability to prepare chemical solutions and operate laboratory equipment safely and according to procedures. Attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow processing steps and maintain clean, compliant work areas. Willingness to work on site in Pustynnoye, Kazakhstan and participate in shift-based work.
