Job title: Fire Alarm & Fire Sprinkler Inspector

About the Role This role tests and inspects fire alarm and wet sprinkler systems at customer sites, documents deficiencies, and services fire safety product lines. You will work under supervision to ensure proper operation and timely reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct routine tests and inspections of fire alarm systems, fire safety systems, and fire sprinkler systems according to prescribed processes.
  • Verify proper operation; prepare accurate and timely documentation of work performed; submit inspection/deficiency reports to management.
  • Interface with service management to schedule/handle work; interface with customers to explain work performed and address questions; resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain and organize truck inventory (equipment/parts and tools) to ensure proper response to customer needs.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures; maintain a strong work ethic; be detail-oriented.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of High School or Vocational training; 1+ year of experience inspecting fire alarm products, wet fire sprinkler systems, or related field.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers; working knowledge of test equipment (multimeters, battery analyzers, decibel meters).
  • Familiar with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems; working knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 25 with ability to discern basic deficiencies.
  • Valid driver’s license; able to clear a drug screening; ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures in English.
  • Certification/Licensing: NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems; NICET Level I or equivalent in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems within one year; must obtain and retain any licenses required by state/local codes.
  • Willingness to travel; on-call availability; ability to drive a motor vehicle for extended periods.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $22-$36 per hour (USD).
