Job title: Finisher
About the Role The Finisher performs operations and operates equipment for belting, stoning and gauging metal castings, typically turbine components or castings of comparable size and weight (approximately 5 to 50 pounds). This role focuses on efficient operation of finishing processes and adherence to safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain equipment for belting, stoning and gauging metal castings.
- Handle hazardous waste in accordance with MSDS and company policy.
- Perform all clean and cap operations, including clean & cap tasks, mega dip, mold prep, dewax, flash fire, and special lot expediting.
- Meet the efficiency standards established by Engineering.
- Record daily work performed and allocate worktime using the proper operational codes.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly; follow all safety rules.
- Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, clients, coworkers and supervisors.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in belting, stoning and gauging metal castings (5 to 50 pounds).
- Willingness to handle hazardous waste in accordance with MSDS and company policy.
- Familiarity with clean & cap operations (clean & cap tasks, mega dip), mold prep, dewax, flash fire and related processes.
- Commitment to safety and orderliness; adherence to safety rules.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
