About the Role Join AIG as a Financial Lines Senior Claims Adjuster to lead complex claims within a world-class claims function. You will own a portfolio of high value Financial Lines claims from inquiry to resolution with focus on technical excellence, fair dealing and efficiency. What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of high value, complex Financial Lines claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis to timely resolution.
- Aim for timely, accurate, customer-focused claim resolution while minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense.
- Act as a technical claims expert and thought leader, communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as deputy to the Team Manager, providing training and acting as a technical referral point for colleagues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in Claims by supporting Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes and communicating developments to key stakeholders. What We're Looking For
- Strong experience and knowledge as a Financial Lines technical claims specialist.
- Law degree preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- Advanced knowledge of legal/regulatory and litigation/procedural requirements for Financial Lines.
- Experience in stakeholder management (internal and external).
- Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and ADR on higher value complex claims.
- Policy language interpretation skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording.
- Track record of following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement.
- Ability to influence claims and non-claims stakeholders to direct claims strategy.
- Ability to assist with technical training to the team’s claim handlers.
