About the job
Get paid to help build better AI.
Alpheva AI, the Silicon Valley company that is building intelligence behind frontier AI, is looking for experienced financial professionals to participate in paid, project-based work that helps train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
You work remotely and asynchronously on projects that fit around your existing schedule.
Your financial expertise becomes the signal that helps AI systems learn what accurate, rigorous, and professionally sound financial analysis actually looks like.
What you'll do
Depending on the project, you may:
-
Analyze: Review financial statements, reports, transactions, business scenarios, and financial data.
-
Evaluate: Review AI-generated financial analysis, calculations, recommendations, and reasoning.
-
Validate: Determine whether AI-generated financial outputs are accurate, logically sound, and supported by the available information.
-
Review: Assess financial models, forecasts, valuations, investment analysis, accounting analysis, and risk assessments.
-
Reason: Solve realistic financial problems and explain how an experienced finance professional would approach them.
-
Compare solutions: Assess multiple AI-generated financial solutions and identify meaningful differences in accuracy, quality, reasoning, and professional judgment.
-
Create evaluations: Develop challenging financial tasks and criteria for measuring AI systems.
-
Provide expert judgment: Identify errors, unsupported assumptions, inconsistencies, and potential risks in AI-generated financial work.
-
Projects may involve financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, investment analysis, financial modeling, valuation, risk, markets, forecasting, financial research, and other areas depending on your expertise.
-
Who we're looking for
-
We're looking for experienced financial professionals, not necessarily AI researchers.
You should have:
-
3+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting, investment, or a related field
-
Strong financial and analytical reasoning skills
-
Experience working with real-world financial information
-
Ability to evaluate financial analysis and conclusions critically
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and unsupported assumptions
-
Strong professional judgment
-
Ability to clearly explain why a financial conclusion is correct or incorrect
-
Experience with any of the following is valuable:
-
Financial analysis and modeling
-
Corporate finance
-
Accounting and financial reporting
-
Investment analysis
-
Equity research
-
Valuation
-
FP&A
-
Risk management
-
Banking or financial services
-
Portfolio or investment management
-
Economics or quantitative finance
-
You do not need prior experience working in AI.
-
What matters most is that you know how to do financial work well.
You might be asked to:
- Review an AI-generated financial analysis and identify the issues.
- Evaluate whether a financial model is logically sound and identify incorrect assumptions.
- Compare two AI-generated investment analyses and determine which is stronger.
- Review financial statements and assess whether an AI's conclusions are accurate.
- Analyze a realistic business or financial scenario and explain your reasoning.
- Evaluate an AI-generated valuation, forecast, or financial recommendation.
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, or unsupported conclusions in financial analysis.
- Create challenging financial problems that can be used to evaluate AI systems.
- The goal is not simply to determine whether financial analysis looks reasonable.
- The goal is to capture the judgment an experienced finance professional uses to determine whether financial work actually makes sense.
Compensation
Paid project-based work.
Rates vary based on your experience, specialization, and project requirements. Your applicable rate and project scope will be shown before you commit to a project.
Some projects are short assignments. Others may involve recurring work over a longer period.
There is no fixed schedule and no minimum commitment.
Work arrangement
- Remote
- Asynchronous
- Project-based
- Flexible hours
- Work around your existing job or commitments
- Paid for qualifying project work
But producing a plausible-looking financial answer is not the same as demonstrating strong financial judgment.
AI needs to learn how experienced finance professionals:
- Analyze financial information
- Evaluate assumptions
- Interpret financial statements
- Build and assess financial models
- Evaluate risk and uncertainty
- Compare financial scenarios
- Identify errors and inconsistencies
- Recognize important edge cases
- Explain financial conclusions clearly
- Determine when financial analysis is actually reliable
That's where you come in.
Your financial expertise helps shape how AI learns to reason about finance.
