Job title: Financial Data Operations Manager

About the Role The Data Operations Manager will lead and develop the regional Data Operations teams responsible for managing market and master data for financial instruments across client deployments. You will ensure data collection, composition, control and distribution align with each client's Datacare service level agreements, particularly for instrument master and pricing data. You will also manage resource allocation, serve as the primary client contact beyond standard service requests, and collaborate with the Head Service Delivery and Head Data as a Service.

What You'll Do

  • Manage regional Data Operations teams and ensure daily service deliverables meet client SLAs.
  • Document client requirements in a consistent runbook format and ensure alignment between client and data operations.
  • Ensure quality checks and governance, risk/compliance, incident and change management.
  • Address and resolve client inquiries promptly to ensure satisfaction and SLA compliance.
  • Maintain operational documentation (run-books, control sign-offs) and oversee data analysis from client requests.
  • Build relationships with local/regional clients as SPOC in collaboration with DaaS Head Service Delivery.
  • Collaborate with Data Advisory and Change Management to manage resource demands from changes and testing.
  • Foster knowledge sharing to prevent silos and improve processes and documentation.
  • Manage audits and SOX compliance and timely closure.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with data vendor feeds (Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters, etc.) and display products, 5-7 years
  • Deep knowledge of traditional and non-traditional financial instruments and markets including structured securities, especially complex instruments like ABS/MBS, index linked bonds, and syndicated loans
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance or engineering
  • People management experience, 3-4 years
  • Solving master and reference data issues based on exception handling, 3-4 years
  • Managing service delivery teams and client relations, 3–4 years
  • Applying operational data management and data governance, 2-3 years
  • Process design and engineering experience, 1-2 years
  • Process management experience, 2-3 years
  • Requirements engineering and data modelling experience, 1-2 years
  • Experience with EDM platforms, 3-4 years
  • Experience with service request systems or any other similar ticketing tool, like HPALM, Service Now, etc., 4-5 years

Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position is CAD 133,200 - 183,000 annually. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, time off and Group RRSP/TFSA.
