Job title: Financial Data Analyst

About the Role The Financial Data Analyst is responsible to execute the collection, composition, control and distribution of market and master data for financial instruments (Equities, Funds, Fixed Income, ABS/MBS, OTS Derivatives, etc.) for SimCorp clients and in accordance with the effective SLA agreements. The role also answers client questions and conducts data analyses to resolve service delivery incidents, while adhering to operational risk and data governance and quality frameworks. A client-focused mindset and strong know-how of financial instruments are required, with the potential to coach other team members.

What You'll Do

  • Execute daily service deliverables for collecting, composing, controlling and distributing financial instrument data in line with client SLAs.
  • Shift may cover APAC, EMEA and NA time zones depending on business needs.
  • Perform quality checks as part of the service scope, adhere to runbooks and data quality/governance frameworks, and conduct initial data analysis in case of unexpected data behavior.
  • Resolve all data questions, service requests and requested audit support raised by clients in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction and SLA compliance.
  • Comply with operational risk frameworks (SOX, RACE) and contribute to data governance and quality improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement of operational processes, data quality checks and system functionality.
  • Work with local/regional clients to identify requirements, special data treatments or other client demands within the service scope.
  • Promote know-how exchange across Data Operations teams to avoid silos and ensure service level consistency.
  • Monitor and report issues along the data supply chain (interface issues, missing data files, interrupted processes) and drive resolution.
  • Maintain documentation of business processes, runbooks and manuals for transparency and knowledge transfer.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience resolving master data and reference data issues based on exception handling, pricing and exposure to financial instruments.
  • 3+ years of experience with data vendor feeds (Bloomberg, IDC, Reuters) and display products.
  • Deep knowledge of traditional and non-traditional financial instruments and markets, including structured securities (ABS/MBS), index-linked bonds, and syndicated loans.
  • Experience applying operational data management and data governance.
  • Process management, requirements engineering and data modelling experience.
  • Experience with EDM platforms and service request systems or ticketing tools (HP ALM, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Knowledge of NA shift hours may apply; hybrid work arrangement (2x a week in office) as per business needs.
