Our client is a global trading and distribution company with a network of offices and subsidiaries spanning more than 39 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. They have a network of showrooms and workshops across 12 countries, and an assembly plant. They enhanced their distribution portfolio with farm machinery in addition to automobiles the company produces passenger cars, trucks, vans, coaches, buses, sports cars, construction equipment and military vehicles. They are currently in need of a FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

JOB REQUIREMENT
-
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP.

Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

Ensure integrity of all financial data and enforce internal controls.

Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting.

Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide management with actionable insights.

Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to ensure liquidity.

Oversee Letters of Credit (LCs), forex procurement, and vehicle import financing.

Ensure full compliance with FIRS tax obligations (VAT, WHT, CIT, Transfer Pricing).

Coordinate external and internal audits; implement audit recommendations promptly.

Maintain compliance with CAC, CBN, and other regulatory bodies.

Monitor cost of sales, parts inventory valuation, and after-sales costs.

Identify cost-saving opportunities across the business.

Supervise and develop the finance team across all business units.

Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

ACA / ACCA / CIMA (mandatory).
-
Minimum 10 years + experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance role.

Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or FMCG strongly preferred.
-
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
-
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax law and IFRS.
