About the Role The Financial Consultant Early Career role supports MD Financial Consultant in Canada by helping clients and their families achieve their personal financial goals. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Financial Consultant partners with MD’s Specialist Advisors to prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. What You'll Do
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Prepare and execute quarterly business plans to aid in meeting individual, regional and corporate targets.
- Actively participate in prospecting.
- Complete financial planning in risk management, estate planning, liability management, cashflow/budgeting, education funding, tax, retirement planning, investment management, practice management and goal setting.
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies based on MD Management developed and managed optimal portfolio ranges.
- Understand and comply with all industry regulations and MD's program and process requirements.
- Conduct financial planning seminars and information meetings throughout the region to inform clients about new strategies, legislative changes and MD Management's programs.
- Increase visibility of products and services through contact with centers of influence.
- Keep current on issues affecting the financial affairs of clients, including a general knowledge of income tax, investment trends and products, as well as any other issues impacting clients.
- Provide input to marketing and management concerning potential new products and services.
- Travel within established travel circuit. What We're Looking For
- Relevant degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution or four years of relevant experience.
- CIRO licensed.
