Finance Project Controller

About the Role Finance Project Controller acts as the co-pilot to the Project Manager and the primary point of contact for all financial matters on the project. You will drive project performance, provide financial analyses to support decision-making, and contribute to risk and opportunity management. You will lead budgeting and forecasting and ensure compliance with accounting rules for long-term contracts within the Project Control Department for the Signalling & Services business in the Netherlands. What You'll Do

• Monitor and forecast cash flows from projects, setting targets and a control environment for cash management to maximize cash flow.
• Monitor and forecast revenue and gross margins, guiding revenue and margin management with the Business.
• Ensure the processes and tools used are relevant and provide timely, accurate financial management.
• Align with project teams (Planning, Procurement, etc.) and manage controlling, financial reporting and administration of projects in line with internal control rules.
• Ensure project accounting complies with Company guidelines; define milestones and liaise with accounting for revenue recognition.
• Ensure robustness of financial reporting at periodic project review checkpoints (cost to complete, risks & opportunities); provide monthly close reporting, P&L analysis, balance sheet and project reporting, including risk-based KPIs.
• Be the guardian of the rules, enhancing internal control by ensuring proper compliance with internal and external regulations. What We're Looking For
• Accounting or Financial and Project experience (at least 2 years) combined with a bachelor or master’s degree (e.g. Finance, Accounting or Economics).
• Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset, with a focus on driving project performance.
• Problem solver, proactive and able to strategically prioritize work.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical abilities.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: €4,500 - €6,000 gross per month.
