Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Officer to support the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, proper cash management, and compliance with established financial procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, reconciliations, payment processing, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations:

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other financial documents.
  • Monitor income, expenses, cash flow and daily financial activities.
  • Maintain proper records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process payments and ensure appropriate approvals and supporting documentation are obtained.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.

Accounting & Reconciliation:

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile customer, supplier and general ledger accounts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Maintain accurate cash and petty cash records.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare periodic financial and management reports.
  • Assist with budgeting, expense tracking and variance analysis.
  • Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Provide supporting documents for audits and assist with internal and external audit processes.
  • Maintain proper and confidential filing of financial records.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • 3–4 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Good understanding of accounts payable, receivable and cash management.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Professional accounting qualification or relevant certification is an added advantage.

Salary

N300,000 Monthly.
