About the Role The Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) is seeking a Finance Officer to manage our financial administration and our financial integrity. This remote role supports ESA, the peak professional body for ecologists in Australia, by ensuring robust financial operations while you work from home.
What You'll Do
- Manage core financial administration for ESA, including day-to-day processing and compliance
- Maintain financial integrity by applying strong internal controls and accurate reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to leadership and governing bodies
- Collaborate with ESA staff and bookkeeper/treasurer as needed to ensure timely financial cycles
What We're Looking For
- Experience in financial administration or accounting
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to work remotely and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of financial controls and reporting processes
