We are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and results-driven Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, monitor revenue and expenses, and support sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.

  • Revenue and Sales Monitoring: Track daily sales, monitor revenue across business units, reconcile sales records, and ensure all income is properly accounted for.

  • POS Operations: Operate and manage the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions, recording sales, and reconciling payments. Candidates who are willing to learn the POS system will also be considered.

  • Cash and Payment Reconciliation: Reconcile cash, transfers, card payments, POS transactions, and other payment channels to ensure accuracy and accountability.

  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist with budget preparation, monitor operational expenses, and identify opportunities to control costs and improve profitability.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including revenue reports, expense summaries, cash flow updates, and management accounts.

  • Accounts Management: Monitor accounts payable and receivable, track outstanding payments, and ensure timely settlement of approved financial obligations.

  • Payroll Support: Support payroll preparation and ensure salary records, allowances, deductions, and other employee-related financial records are accurate.

  • Inventory and Stock Control: Monitor stock-related transactions, reconcile inventory records with sales, and investigate discrepancies where necessary.

  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls to prevent errors, minimise losses, and promote transparency and accountability.

  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Maintain proper financial documentation and support compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and statutory requirements.

  • Management Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business planning, operational efficiency, and profitability.

  • Requirements and Qualifications

  • A degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in accounting, financial management, or a similar role.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Ability to operate a POS machine or a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the company’s POS system.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting or financial management tools.

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • High levels of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple financial responsibilities.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different departments.

  • Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate irregularities, and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Willingness to work fully onsite and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

  • Preferred Experience

  • Experience in hospitality, retail, wellness, grooming, restaurants, clubs, or other customer-facing businesses.

  • Experience managing daily sales reconciliations, cash handling, inventory records, and multiple payment channels.

  • Familiarity with accounting software and POS systems.

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • The successful candidate will be assessed based on:

  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.

  • Daily sales and payment reconciliation.

  • Proper documentation and accountability for all financial transactions.

  • Effective expense monitoring and cost control.

  • Accuracy of accounting records and financial statements.

  • Timely identification and resolution of financial discrepancies.

  • Compliance with established financial procedures and controls.

  • Work Arrangement

  • This is a full-time, onsite position. The successful candidate must be available to work physically at the business location and actively oversee day-to-day financial operations.
