Job Purpose
- Ensure effective execution of all financial and accounting activities in compliance with international, national and group standards.
- Regularly monitor and report the company’s financial status, while providing timely Information Technology (IT) solutions that support operational efficiency and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control financial activities to ensure conformity with company’s guidelines, legal regulations and accounting standards.
- Coordinate and prepare the annual budget proposal, facilitate the operational and financial commitments of the plant by monitoring the results and proposing corrective actions.
- Coordinate the preparation of the monthly report to provide timely, accurate financial analysis information and support the decision making of the management team.
- Identify training needs and support employee development through training programs.
- Review the trial balance constantly to ensure that wrong postings are minimized.
- Trouble shooting of key account codes in the ledger to ensure correctness of posting.
- Creation of new account code on Navision to ensure proper classification and consistency
- Oversee the IT department to ensure that technical support is always provided to all users
- Ensure reliable IT system operation and maintenance to support company needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Economics or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision or any other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The person must have:
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN or equivalent accounting qualification).
- Leadership, creativity and accountability abilities.
- Strategic thinking and target focused abilities.
