The role

Freda is shaping a new category, and we’re now growing the team around it. As our first finance hire, you will build the function from the ground up. You'll sit close to the founding team and work with every part of the business. This is a role for someone who is just as comfortable automating finance flows as modelling a fundraise and challenging a business case: reliable on the details, sharp on the analysis, and able to turn both into decisions. This is an opportunity to join early, shape the function, and grow with the company, with a clear path towards CFO.

What you'll do

• Own our financial health end-to-end, from planning, reporting and controlling to fundraising and corporate development.

• Build an AI-native finance stack from scratch: the tools, automation and reporting that give us a foundation to scale from.

• Own the KPIs, and the story behind them. Know what actually drives growth, margins and cash, and advise the founding team on direction.

• Own our financial narrative with the board and investors. Take a position on runway, burn, growth, and on the choices that will shape where Freda goes next.

• Be the finance partner for every team. Shape how Sales prices and structures deals, and push Engineering toward the right calls on cloud, tooling and infrastructure spend.

What we're looking for

• A background in management consulting or finance, followed by a couple of years in a tech company.

• A track record across the finance spectrum, from controlling and FP&A to fundraising and corporate development.

• Strong at financial analysis: you understand the nuances behind the numbers

• A driver's mindset: you take ownership, decide, and follow through

• Someone to count on. Your work doesn't need a second look.

• AI native in your approach and tool usage

• Fluency in English
