Finance Data Migration Analyst
Our client is seeking a Data Migration Analyst to support a critical migration from MIP Fund Accounting to Workday. This is a hands-on role focused on extracting, transforming, validating, and loading financial data into Workday during a large-scale system implementation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong finance background, advanced Excel skills, and experience supporting ERP or Workday data migrations.
Key Responsibilities

Extract, clean, and transform financial data from MIP Fund Accounting and related sources into Workday migration templates.

Perform data mapping and validation for chart of accounts, general ledger structures, vendors, AP/AR balances, and historical financial data.

Manipulate downloaded data to fit established migration templates for upload into Workday.

Coordinate with implementation partner Makse Group and internal project stakeholders throughout the migration process.

Participate in data migration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.

Identify data discrepancies, troubleshoot errors, and escalate concerns to the finance team.

Support ongoing data load activities beginning in late October and continuing throughout the implementation.

Required
Strong finance and accounting knowledge, including:
- General Ledger (GL) mapping
- Chart of Accounts structures
- Financial data validation
- Experience working with large data sets and migration templates.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and reconciliation.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or data conversion projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a project environment.
Preferred:

Experience with MIP Fund Accounting.

Prior Workday Financials implementation or data migration experience.

Familiarity with Workday EIB, iLoad, or other Workday data load processes.

Experience supporting nonprofit or fund accounting environments.
