Job title: Finance Analyst – Plant Financial Analysis
About the Role This position is responsible for understanding and interpreting plant financial information and analysis, including actuals, plans, forecasts, and capital analysis. It will take the lead in forecasting, planning, and project analysis, and assist with monthly closing and financial reporting to Corporate and Division.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and forecast financial results, including daily, weekly, and monthly actuals, plans, forecasts, and investment analysis to support business management and decision-making.
- Take primary responsibility for forecasting, collaborating with the GM and Executive Team to understand and quantify business issues and their impact on future results.
- Prepare and update forecast files; provide input to, and ensure the integrity of, financial reports and analysis; promptly disclose issues and exposures.
- Coordinate financial support to the Executive Team (Sales, planning, purchasing, engineering, etc).
- Prepare and analyze standard PCC financial reports (Monthly and Quarterly Operating Packages, Quarterly Financial Package, Daily/Weekly/Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc).
- Support monthly closing and external reporting processes.
What We're Looking For
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, planning and project analysis.
- Ability to work with senior management (GM and Executive Team) to understand and quantify business issues and impact on financial results.
- Experience preparing forecast files and financial reports; familiarity with P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow analysis.
- Cross-functional coordination across Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, etc.
- Attention to detail and timely disclosure of issues and exposures.
