About the Role Burberry seeks a strategic Finance Analyst to analyze financial data and develop forecasts for Japan. This role provides insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to drive strategic decision-making in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Finance team.
What You'll Do
- Budget & Forecast: Prepare budgets and forecasts for Japan, including system uploads, reconciliation, and validation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare reports and analyze business performance; identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Business Partner: Collaborate with Asia Pacific Finance and local teams across Japan to provide actionable insights.
- Projects & Improvements: Participate in Asia Pacific finance projects and challenge current processes to improve efficiency, controls, and quality.
- Accounting Collaboration: Ensure monthly accounts are accurate and complete with local accounting team.
- Ad hoc Analysis: Respond to queries and analyses, prioritizing effectively to ensure timely delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Native/business-level Japanese & English.
- 3+ years of experience in management reporting and financial analysis; retail industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret complex data quickly.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience building and managing complex models and large datasets.
- Focus on continuous process improvement and driving efficiencies.
- Detail-oriented, dedicated, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
