About the Role The FIG Real Estate Paralegal provides legal and broad support to the firm's attorneys and clients under general supervision. The role requires adherence to firm policies, confidentiality, and positive collaboration with attorneys, support staff, clients, and vendors. What You'll Do
- Analyze and negotiate title reports, surveys, zoning certificates and other due diligence documents for loans secured by commercial real estate.
- Manage and organize closings for loans secured by commercial real estate.
- Organize multi-state commercial loan transactions, including preparation of signature pages and escrow deliveries in advance of closing.
- Perform necessary follow-ups for all post-closing matters, including custodial deliveries, finalizing of closing binders, receipt and review of final title insurance policies, recorded documents, and original documents.
- Coordinate recordation of mortgages, amendments, deeds, easements and other recordable instruments.
- Review, prepare and file UCC financing statements and related UCC filings. What We're Looking For
- Experience in analyzing and negotiating title reports, surveys, zoning certificates and other due diligence documents for loans secured by commercial real estate.
- Experience in managing and organizing closings for loans secured by commercial real estate.
- Experience in organizing multi-state commercial loan transactions, including preparation of signature pages and escrow deliveries in advance of closing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and observe firm policies; strong communication with attorneys, support staff, clients, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
