About the Role The Field Technician will perform high quality service and maintenance on Volvo Construction Equipment’s full line of equipment, attachments, and components in the field. This role emphasizes a Safety First, Customer Focused, and Continuous Improvement culture and requires working closely with customers and the internal team to deliver reliable equipment performance.

What You'll Do

• Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair the full line of products and components represented by VCES.
• Follow verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.
• Apply, maintain, and use all required PPE; work primarily in the field with occasional shop support.
• Possess knowledge of hydraulic, air, electrical, and lubrication systems; work on/around heavy construction equipment; climb to access hard-to-reach areas.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; possess a set of tools required for the job; maintain and secure tools.
• Manage parts ordering and retrieval, customer follow-up, and work order status; maintain professionalism in customer interactions; valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willing to accept overtime when needed.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or GED; minimum 5 years’ experience on construction-related equipment; technical school certificate or equivalent in mechanical repairs.
• Prior experience in construction industry preferred; hydraulics and diesel engines preferred.
• Ability to work in field environments; strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills; good communication and customer service.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; willingness to work overtime; valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.

Nice to Have

• Background with Volvo equipment or similar heavy equipment; additional certifications in hydraulics, diesel engines, or mechanical repairs.
