About the Role
BAT Computer Technologies Limited is a technology systems integration company specialising in digital networks, telecommunications systems, and e-business solutions. The company is seeking a Field Support Engineer to support telecommunications installations, maintenance, and network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- • Resolve technical issues with field teams.
- • Prepare system activity and performance reports.
- • Supervise telecommunications equipment maintenance.
- • Prepare and evaluate network diagrams and site configurations.
- • Monitor network traffic, security, capacity, and overall system performance.
- • Handle escalated incidents and document resolutions and root causes.
- • Install, test, and commission equipment according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
- • Work at heights on poles, towers, and masts to install antennas and related equipment.
- • Erect steel structures for telecommunications installations.
- • Terminate and test telecommunications cables to ensure compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- • First degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- • 3–5 years’ experience in the ICT/telecommunications industry.
- • Proficiency in Pathloss, Compass, GPS, range finders, and Microsoft Office.
- • Training or certifications in wireless radio communication technologies, such as Aviat, Dragon, Cambium, Ubiquiti, or MikroTik.
- • Strong oral and written communication skills.
- • Good knowledge of ISP industry operations.
