About the Role The Field Supervisor provides mentorship, coaching, and evaluation of PK-12 teacher candidates during practicums as part of Bushnell University's School of Education. The role acts as a liaison between the university and cooperating teachers/mentors and candidates, ensuring that practicum requirements are communicated, completed, and submitted. Field Supervisors participate in campus informational meetings 3-4 times per year and are expected to uphold Bushnell's mission with a strong commitment to multiculturalism and collaborative teamwork. What You'll Do
- Visit each student's practicum site frequently and provide feedback to candidates.
- Establish and maintain communication with students, cooperating teachers/mentor counselors, and school administrators.
- Attend all Field Supervisor informational meetings.
- Provide resources and guidance to teacher candidates in curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment techniques, classroom management, and professional dispositions.
- For school counseling candidates, provide support toward demonstrating proficiency in professional competencies.
- Complete field observations and mid-term and final evaluations for each candidate. What We're Looking For
