Field Steel Structures Engineer

Field Steel Structures Engineer responsible for performing technical tasks assigned by the Civil and Structural Lead, including calculations, verifications and checks to ensure compliance with project requirements in terms of budget, schedule and quality standards. You will interface with other discipline specialists, gather and provide records of experiences to improve and harmonize work methodologies, and execute activities within your area of responsibility while ensuring QA/QC and HSE compliance.

What You'll Do

• A-Development: Technology know-how and commercial support
• B-Feasibility: Provide technical support
• C-Bidding phase/Commercial proposal development: Analyze tender documentation; define preliminary calculations for optimized quantity estimation; identify technical queries, deviations and alternatives; implement bidding methodologies, design criteria and guidelines; provide technical support to the Discipline Lead for RFQs not estimated in-house
• D-Project Execution (Job progress and completion): Review contract technical documentation and requirements; prepare design specifications for concrete foundations and steel design; maintain project technical files; set up and execute assigned engineering activities (detail design, verification and studies connected to the Discipline) with a view to cost efficiency, fabrication ease and safety; control subcontracted discipline engineering documents; develop studies and calculation notes for reinforced concrete, piling works, steel structures (including connection details) and structural concrete/steel buildings; support the preparation of SOW and technical documentation for soil investigation contracts; support the technical bid tabulation for geotechnical calls for tender; support validation of project geotechnical specifications; provide technical support to the Discipline Lead for preparation of technical specifications; support the Discipline Lead in technical interface with the Client; provide design alternatives to prevent or mitigate quantity increases during execution; support the Discipline Lead to prepare technical evaluation
• E-Construction and start up: Provide on-site field engineering support; assist with engineering adjustments on site

What We're Looking For

• Experience in field steel structures engineering with calculation, verification and design optimization; ability to interface with Discipline Lead, other discipline specialists and Client; familiarity with QA/QC and HSE requirements
• Knowledge of concrete foundations and steel design; experience with reinforced concrete, piling works, steel structures and connection details; ability to develop design calculations and calculation notes
• Ability to prepare technical documentation (SOW, technical bid tabulations, technical specifications) and support geotechnical tendering and site validation of geotechnical specs
• Willingness to provide technical support to the Discipline Lead and to perform field engineering at site
