Job title: Field Service Technician
About the Role In this role, you will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nitrogen producing plants at customer sites, solving field site issues and operating air separation plants with minimal supervision. You will interact with customers across various production plant types, provide guidance and clear communication, and maintain safety, quality, and compliance. You will also perform routine maintenance and calibrations on compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems, manage time to diagnose and repair plant problems, coordinate contractors, and drive efficiency through strategic planning and project management to ensure smooth plant operations.
What You'll Do
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nitrogen producing plants at customer sites
- Solve field site issues and operate air separation plants with minimal supervision
- Interact with customers across various production plant types, providing guidance, support, and clear communication
- Maintain safety, quality, and compliance activities to uphold high standards
- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on compressors, gas analyzers, and control systems
- Manage time effectively to complete operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnosing plant problems
- Coordinate contractors and resources to support plant activities, audits, and administrative requirements
- Drive efficiency through strategic planning and project management, ensuring smooth plant operations
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma with an associate degree in a technical field preferred, supported by two to five years of operations experience in air separation or similar process control environments
- Expertise in instrumentation, control, and general maintenance of industrial equipment
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance, including compressors; military engineering experience considered an asset
- Strong safety awareness and strict adherence to procedures while troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment
- Ability to understand process control schematics and communicate technical information clearly in verbal and written forms
- Computer skills, including Microsoft applications and process control systems, with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to meet physical requirements such as confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in coverage
- Familiarity with procurement processes and quality control analyzers, thriving in dynamic conditions involving service truck driving, office tasks, and physical activity
Nice to Have
- Military engineering experience is considered an asset
- Familiarity with air separation or similar process control environments
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
