Field Service Technician, Infection Control (Healthcare and Life Sciences)

About the Role The Field Service Technician for Infection Control (Healthcare and Life Sciences) provides preventative maintenance and repair services at customer sites, working with sterilizers, washers, and related equipment. You will follow the manufacturer's instructions and apply mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic knowledge, while actively promoting Getinge’s service and equipment offerings. The role may also involve work at high-level security facilities. What You'll Do

• Provide preventative maintenance and repair service at customer establishments in accordance with established procedures using proper tools, test equipment and replacement parts.
• Assist with installation projects within the Region in collaboration with the Lead Technician.
• Maintain service contracts per policy and actively pursue renewals, including identifying potential customers, providing quotations and closing new proposals.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety codes and Getinge policies, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and all Getinge personnel.
• Maintain personal competence by using product information and technical data from Getinge and others.
• Participate in training seminars, meetings, and on-the-job training programs.
• Apply concepts and knowledge from training and skill development sources.
• Document all activities in accordance with Service policies and procedures.
• Maintain expenses and required inventory within guidelines and limits. What We're Looking For
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repair on infection-control equipment (sterilizers, washers, etc.) and follow manufacturer instructions.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with customers and Getinge personnel.
• Ability to collaborate with Lead Technician on installations and service projects.
• Compliance with health and safety codes and Getinge policies. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: CAD 62,000 - 71,000 per year plus commission.
