About the Role The Field Service Technician for Infection Control (Healthcare and Life Sciences) provides preventative maintenance and repair services at customer facilities, working with sterilizers, washers, and related equipment. You will follow manufacturer instructions and apply mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic knowledge to deliver quality service and promote Getinge's offerings. What You'll Do
- Provide preventative maintenance and repair service at customer establishments in accordance with established procedures and using proper tools, test equipment and replacement parts.
- Assist with installation projects within the Region in collaboration with the Lead Technician.
- Maintain all service contracts in accordance with service policies and procedures and actively pursue renewal of existing contracts. This includes identifying potential service contract customers, providing contract quotations and ensuring the timely closing of all new contract proposals.
- Comply with all health and safety codes and procedures mandated by Getinge policies, customer requirements and regulatory agencies.
- Establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and all Getinge personnel.
- Maintain personal competence for meeting job responsibilities by using product information and technical data from Getinge and others.
- Participate in training seminars, meetings, and on-the-job training programs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and an ability to apply concepts and knowledge obtained from these training and skill development sources.
- Document all activities in accordance with Service policies and procedures.
- Maintain expenses and required inventory within guidelines and limits established by Getinge and the Regional Service Manager. What We're Looking For
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repair on infection control equipment (e.g., sterilizers, washers) following manufacturer instructions and using mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic knowledge.
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to establish positive relationships with customers and Getinge personnel.
- Willingness to participate in training, review product information, and stay updated on technical data.
- Ability to assist with installation projects and collaborate with a Lead Technician.
- Knowledge of health and safety codes and Getinge policies; adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and administrative skills to manage service activities, contracts, and inventory.
- Ability to maintain personal competence through ongoing training and skills development.
