Job title: Field Service Technician
About the Role The Field Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair surface wellhead and frac equipment in field and shop environments, performing testing, assembly, and customer-facing service. The role requires a minimum of two years’ relevant experience, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions. A hair follicle drug test and background check are required after an offer.
What You'll Do
- Installs and tests equipment in accordance with operating procedures
- Inspects condition and communicates information with customer during service
- Makes repairs to customer property and rental assets including valves, wellheads, spools, chokes, actuators, and other surface wellhead equipment
- Assembles and breaks down of new or used equipment
- Provides feedback through reporting of problems and failures to appropriate personnel
- Prepares service orders and customer documentation; reads blueprints and drawings
- Maintains high customer satisfaction with timely, knowledgeable service
- Executes general shop maintenance (storage and equipment clean-up)
- Tear down and troubleshooting of customer-owned property for inspection, repair, reassembly and testing
- Assembling, testing, and painting of new or used wellhead/tree sections
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of conventional wellhead equipment and valve installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
- Experience with service tools, gate valves, and actuators
- Experience with conventional completions
- Ability to troubleshoot field equipment and products; strong problem solving
- Willingness to learn and operate PBMO and Full Hydraulic Lubricators (a plus)
- Familiarity with Electronic Submersible Systems and Multi-Bowl Systems (with LDS)
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent or two years of related experience and/or training
- Lifts up to 30 lbs and outdoor work capability
Nice to Have
- PBMO operation and Full Hydraulic Lubricators experience (preferred)
- Electronic Submersible Systems experience
- Multi-Bowl Systems (with LDS) experience
- Wellhead latch systems familiarity
