Job title: Field Service Technician
About the Role As a Field Service Technician in Getinge's Syracuse/Central NY service territory, you will perform maintenance and repair of high-technical medical devices at customer sites, following manufacturer instructions and applying your mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic expertise. You will ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal procedures, and may train customer personnel on operation of the equipment.
What You'll Do
- Provide maintenance and repair services at customer establishments within the Syracuse/Central NY area.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on a wide range of high-technical medical devices, following manufacturer instructions.
- Utilize mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies and work instructions.
- Instruct customer personnel in the operation and proper use of the equipment.
- Respond to emergency repair requests with flexibility and priority management.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a field service professional with mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic expertise.
- Background servicing high-technical medical devices or electro-mechanical systems.
- Military avionics or electro-mechanical experience highly considered.
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to juggle priorities and adapt to emergency repair timelines.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and internal procedures.
- Willingness to travel within the service territory as needed.
Nice to Have
- Military avionics or electro-mechanical experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay: $37-$45 per hour (USD).
