About the Role Johnson Controls seeks a Field Service Technician to service and repair portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. The role requires reading blueprints and manuals, troubleshooting across multiple manufacturers, and managing daily service calls and program systems products.

What You'll Do

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service calls, customer activity and program system products.
• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Perform inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Required: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid US driver's license.

Nice to Have

• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem.

Compensation & Benefits

• HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20-$26 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
