About the Role This position focuses on supporting public safety customer operations within the Beltsville, MD vicinity, ensuring high-performance and reliable communications systems for government and public safety customers. What You'll Do
- Manage the optimization, testing, and documentation of sophisticated communication systems, ensuring high performance through technical support of specialized product applications.
- Provision system infrastructure and troubleshoot software-driven electronics, including RF and Broadband architectures such as digital P25, data infrastructure, and legacy analog systems.
- Execute maintenance for server hardware, operating systems, and software, resolving application issues through expert troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance with an emphasis on trend analysis to guarantee consistent system operation.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to deliver advanced solutions that exceed customer expectations. What We're Looking For
- 3+ years experience in one of the following: LMR, RF systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking equipment or Military experience.
- Proficiency in computer network systems (LAN/WAN) including setup/maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.
- Working knowledge of RF systems, antenna networks, transmitters, receivers, and packet switching techniques.
- Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
- Must reside near Beltsville, MD or be willing to relocate to service Public Safety customers located in Beltsville, MD.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer sponsorship not available.
- Current, valid driver’s license and no traffic violations.
- Willingness to travel 10-25% (as per job description: 15% indicated).
- CJIS Security Policy background check compliance required for certain customer work. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year.
