About the Role Join Volvo Construction Equipment as a Field Service Technician supporting customer equipment across locations in Fresno and Bakersfield. You will diagnose, repair, and test heavy equipment, read blueprints, and ensure equipment functions after service while delivering professional customer support. This role requires strong safety practices and the ability to travel frequently.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, test, and repair heavy equipment and related machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for Volvo product lines and systems.
- Submit work orders and warranty claims with detailed descriptions.
- Provide professional customer service and explain repair options.
- Verify equipment function after repairs.
- Provide telephone troubleshooting support to customers as needed.
- Comply with PPE requirements and safety policies.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Be flexible to work overtime and occasional overnight tasks.
- Maintain and secure all necessary tools.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Frequent travel to customer sites.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience on construction-related equipment.
- Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft products.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- Frequent travel.
