Job title: Field Service Supervisor II
About the Role Field Service Supervisor II will supervise the end-to-end movement of parcels by air and ground for international import/export operations. The role involves coordinating both field and back-office activities to ensure client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and profitability for DHL Express.
What You'll Do
- Expedite daily operational functions to meet client, policy, and profitability goals.
- Supervise airport ramp operations including loading/unloading cargo aircraft and consolidation processing with carriers; ensure compliance with internal regulations.
- Oversee warehouse sort operations for international shipments and back-office staff monitoring flights and network updates.
- Develop and manage relationships with Business Partners and coordinate with US Customs and DHL Imports clearance.
- Lead special projects and maintain quality systems; manage KPIs and cost controls; assist in budget preparation.
- Hire, coach, train, and develop a unionized workforce (8-12 staff); assign work, set deadlines, review performance, and drive results.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical product assistance; communicate policy changes and goals.
- Ensure continuous workflow, productivity, and problem resolution; utilize MS Office (Excel, Outlook) extensively.
What We're Looking For
- BS/BA and 2+ years' related field experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Professional certification required in some areas.
- Valid Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record meeting Driving Privileges standards; must be 18+.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong understanding of quality, productivity, budgeting, cost control, and process improvements.
- Ability to hire, train, coach, and develop staff; experience with performance management.
- Willingness to pass pre-employment background, drug test, and medical screening.
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
Nice to Have
- Experience supervising a unionized workforce; ability to manage 8-12 staff.
Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated Salary Range: $94,350 - $125,800 per year.
