About the Role The Winder Field Service Expert II, Process provides specialized mechanical, technological, and process services for winders, delivering on-site and remote technical support, inspections, and upgrades to customers while upholding safety, quality and winding efficiency. This role often works independently as part of a broader winder service team to solve complex issues and build long-term customer trust. What You'll Do
- Provide field-support and troubleshooting for winder/finishing equipment during scheduled maintenance shutdowns, emergencies, and on-demand service
- Conduct comprehensive process and mechanical inspections, installations and rebuilds per Voith guidelines; deliver clear technical reports with parts recommendations and action plans
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings and recommendations to customers to optimize winder performance and identify upgrades
- Travel to customer sites and manage on-site activities, with occasional remote support as needed
- Ensure work is performed safely and in alignment with quality standards What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 3+ years of winder/finishing equipment experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to interpret blueprints, and excellent customer-facing communication skills
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Nice to Have
- Experience in field service for winders; ability to work independently and drive service outcomes
