Build it. Fix it. Optimize it.

We’re looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer specializing in filling and Blow Molding to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Aseptic blow molders and Aseptic filling equipment.

This is a highly hands-on, customer-facing position for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys solving complex equipment problems, leading field activities, and working directly with customers. You'll spend much of your time supporting customers throughout North America, with occasional international travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, commission, inspect, repair, test, and optimize blow molding, beverage, and liquid filling equipment.

  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, process, electrical, and equipment issues.

  • Perform equipment modifications, upgrades, retrofits, rebuilds, and machine restarts.

  • Support new equipment installations from mechanical installation through commissioning and start-up.

  • Perform scheduled service activities, including audits, preventive maintenance, line start-ups, and service interventions.

  • Troubleshoot equipment remotely and provide Help Desk support when needed.

  • Create detailed field service reports, inspection reports, and SOPs.

  • Train customers on proper equipment operation, preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Recommend equipment upgrades and optimization opportunities based on customer needs.

  • Coordinate on-site subcontractors and external technicians as needed.

  • Work closely with project and site teams to ensure service activities meet established safety requirements.

  • Support internal teams with parts identification, technical questions, quoting, and upgrade opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service tools, procedures, and processes.

  • Your Profile / Qualifications

  • What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience working with blow molders, liquid filling equipment, beverage equipment, or similar industrial machinery.

  • Mechanical Engineering degree, Filling Equipment Certificate, or equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Experience installing and servicing filling and blow molding equipment.

  • Skilled to use hand and power tools safely in an industrial environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret:

  • Mechanical and assembly drawings

  • P&IDs

  • Pneumatic schematics

  • Equipment manuals

  • Ability to lead small teams while also working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working directly with customers.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Travel

  • This is a field-based position requiring up to 80% travel.

  • Most travel will be throughout the United States and Canada, with occasional international travel for customer service assignments and technical training.

  • Why This Role?

  • If you're the person customers call when a machine isn't running the way it should, this role will put that experience to work.

  • You'll have the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems, lead installations, work with advanced blow molding and filling equipment, train customers, and help optimize production performance.

  • If you have deep hands-on experience with blow molders and enjoy working in the field, we'd like to hear from you.

  • The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 - $130,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
