About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment. Your key responsibilities include:

• Machine start-up and commissioning on-site, providing comprehensive professional training on equipment operation, maintenance points, and promoting service agreements to customers.
• Delivering technical support through effective troubleshooting, both remotely via phone and on-site visits, ensuring quick resolution of issues.
• Managing machine warranty claims by evaluating and validating issues, submitting detailed service reports, and communicating any quality concerns to support product enhancement initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate and current records of required materials and consistently updating machine running information to support efficient fleet management.
• Diagnosing and fixing on-site technical problems as needed, including proposing maintenance solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
• Supporting parts and capital sales activities by collaborating with sales teams and providing customer feedback regarding typical service requirements.
• Adhering strictly to all safety regulations at company and customer sites, demonstrating an astute awareness of safety in all job functions.

Qualifications and Skills

We invite applicants with the following background and competencies to apply:

• Educational background from a Technology College in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, or a related field. Electrician certification is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency with common computer applications, particularly MS Office suite with strong Excel skills.
• Basic proficiency in English to facilitate effective communication in the international work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under the principles of the Epiroc Way, our company culture and safety standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork, excellent communication abilities with customers and colleagues, and a proactive, self-driven approach to achieving results.
• Capability to manage workload efficiently under pressure while maintaining a pragmatic and realistic outlook.
