About this role
Field Service Engineer based in the Czech Republic, supporting on-site maintenance of SIG filling machines to ensure continuous operation of SIG line equipment. The role requires planning, coordinating and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and acting as an ambassador to customers while driving line performance improvements.
What You'll Do
- Installs and repairs filling and packaging machines, in-field installations
- Carries out routine scheduled maintenance and responds to faults
- Diagnoses breakdowns and analyzes malfunctions
- Fits new parts and ensures equipment is working correctly
- Handles emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
- Documents inspections, maintenance and service work, and submits paperwork in a timely basis
- Studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to install/setup machines or machine upgrades
- Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance
- Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for improvements
- Complies with and ensures compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies
What We're Looking For
- Vocational training as a technician in electrical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent technical qualification
- Strong foundational knowledge in electrical engineering or automation technology
- Experience in managing software updates, troubleshooting of distributed automated systems and mechanical equipment
- Experience with installation and maintenance of process control systems (PLC, LMS, MES, Industrial PC, Microsoft Server, switches, network, etc.)
- Willingness to travel 100% during the week within Europe (primarily Czechia, Slovakia & Hungary)
- Strong customer orientation and communication skills
- Independent and quality-conscious work approach
- Valid driving license
- Proficiency in written and spoken Czech and English
