About the Role Join ASM as a Field Service Engineer to install, qualify, service and repair advanced electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at key customer locations across Ireland, with opportunities to support customers in the US, Asia or the Middle East. You will manage projects at customer sites to install ASM’s latest NPI equipment, perform complex tool-down repairs, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver permanent resolutions while maintaining a safety-first mindset. What You'll Do
- Installations, qualification, preventative maintenance and remedial repair maintenance on advanced electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at customer locations.
- Manage key projects at customer sites to install ASM’s latest NPI equipment.
- Perform tool-down repair support in complex situations; work in cross-functional teams; develop action plans and presentations for problem resolutions.
- Work onsite at various customer locations in a cleanroom environment.
- Create and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through advanced customer service skills, while keeping safety as a priority.
- Provide comprehensive and swift reporting.
- Travel within the ASM Europe region up to 75% of the year, with some work at local sites and occasional trips to North America or Asia. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering or a relevant high school technical diploma.
- Ideally, first experience in field service/customer support with knowledge of installation and startup of systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Good hands-on skills.
- Excellent English; any other European languages are a bonus.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP-based software.
