Job title: Field Sales Manager

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Field Sales Manager to lead our Stationers channel field sales team in Italy. You will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets, manage a team across Italy, and build strong customer relationships to drive growth in the Italian market. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and a hands-on approach to execute plans and deliver results.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies: create and implement effective sales plans to drive growth of BIC’s products in the Italian market, aligned with company objectives and channel strategy.
  • Team leadership and management: lead, train, and motivate the field sales team to achieve targets; provide guidance, monitor activities, and maximize productivity.
  • Territory management: optimize sales coverage and territory planning to maximize market penetration and customer outreach.
  • Customer relationship management: build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners to drive market share, product placement, promotions, and growth.
  • Performance tracking and reporting: monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and provide regular reports and forecasts; use data to identify opportunities.
  • Budget management: collaborate with sales and finance to develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work with marketing, customer service, supply chain, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of strategies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
  • Proven field sales management experience in FMCG/CPG; stationers/traditional trade exposure is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and a track record of leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent understanding of the Italian market, distribution channels, and consumer behavior.
  • Analytical skills and business acumen to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer insights.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills; ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in using sales management software and tools for performance tracking and reporting.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree is a plus.
