Job Summary

• The Field Sales Agent is responsible for acquiring, onboarding, activating, and supporting merchants and customers for Ercas Integrated Solutions Limited’s digital payment and financial solutions.
• The role focuses on driving merchant acquisition, transaction activity, customer engagement, and revenue growth through field sales, relationship management, and effective promotion of Ercas products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development and Merchant Acquisition:

• Identify and prospect potential merchants, businesses, institutions, and individual customers within assigned territories.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through field visits, networking, referrals, and structured follow up.
• Promote Ercas products and services through effective presentations, demonstrations, and customer engagement.
• Acquire and onboard new merchants and customers in line with assigned sales targets.
• Achieve agreed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly acquisition and sales targets.

Product Sales and Activation:

• Promote and acquire customers for ErcasCollect and ErcasPay based on their business and payment needs.
• Identify organisations that can benefit from ErcasCollect, including schools, healthcare providers, religious organisations, SMEs, corporate organisations, government agencies, NGOs, and other institutions.
• Acquire merchants requiring digital payment acceptance solutions, including POS terminals, payment gateways, and payment links.
• Guide customers through onboarding and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
• Coordinate merchant deployment, activation, and basic product training.
• Encourage active and sustained usage of Ercas products following onboarding.
• Identify opportunities for cross selling and upselling additional Ercas solutions.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and follow up to monitor satisfaction and encourage product usage.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and transaction volumes.
• Respond professionally to customer enquiries and escalate technical or service related issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow up engagements.

Reporting and Market Intelligence:

• Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports to the Head, Merchant Acquiring.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, customer engagements, onboarding activities, and sales pipeline opportunities.
• Provide relevant market intelligence on competitor activities, customer feedback, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all merchant and customer onboarding activities comply with applicable KYC, AML, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Verify the completeness and authenticity of customer documentation before submission.
• Conduct all sales and customer engagement activities with integrity and professionalism.
• Promptly report suspected fraud, suspicious transactions, or compliance concerns to the appropriate team.
