Job title: Field Representative, Clark County Education Association
About the Role Clark County Education Association is seeking a Field Representative based in Las Vegas, NV to work with the Advocacy and Representation team. The role focuses on contract enforcement, grievance/arbitration handling, and effective member representation within the school district context, with extended work hours.
What You'll Do
- Significant representation and contract enforcement experience in handling investigations, grievances, arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, and other areas of litigation, with strong resolution skills.
- Meet with members to assess issues and take necessary steps toward resolution.
- Represent members with School District officials when needed.
- Draft and submit correspondence; maintain documents and files.
- Ensure all timelines are met; maintain data management and records.
- Promote membership value through face-to-face, telephone, and written contact; promote CCEA programs and organize around issues.
- Maintain visibility with the membership via regular building visitations; respond to member calls and correspondence within 24 hours.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with the membership and with School District officials.
- Provide advice and appropriate professional assistance to members.
- Assist members in securing legal representation.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience in contract enforcement, grievances, arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, and other litigation areas.
- Experience in representation, conflict resolution, and labor/management relations.
- Ability to meet with members, assess issues, and assist in resolution.
- Strong organization, data management, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to maintain timely communications with members (24-hour response).
- Willingness to work extended hours; based in Las Vegas, NV; field-based role.
