About the Role The Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer will report to the ECH Field Engineer Manager. Responsible for implementing ECH solutions, including on-site configuration, testing, cut, and post-cut support for on-premise and cloud-hosted environments. This role requires remote work with heavy travel (75%+). What You'll Do
- Perform system configuration for ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications
- Conduct site verification testing prior to production cutover
- Configure and troubleshoot connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments
- Provide support to customers and channel partners during deployment
- Document changes including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations
- Ensure timely resolution of installation/quality issues
- Develop and approve Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades
- Participate in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations as needed
- Maintain SME skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology
- 3+ years deploying/integrating complex IP products and systems
- Experience with cloud platforms and deployment models (Azure, AWS, Private Cloud)
- Experience with cloud-based app troubleshooting (connectivity, latency, identity management)
- Experience with installation/administration/troubleshooting of: VMware ESXi 6+; Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+; SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2016; Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2; Windows 7/10; Linux; Cisco IOS switches; basic firewall/router knowledge (Fortinet FortiGate)
- Server hardware / workstation hardware experience
- Prior public safety applications deployment/integration preferred
- Travel: >75% Nice to Have
- College degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology
- 3+ years in deployment/integration of complex IP products and systems
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) a plus
- CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications Compensation & Benefits
- Target base salary: $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year
