Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer to handle the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of ISP network infrastructure and customer connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain ISP network equipment and customer premises equipment (CPE).
- Carry out fiber optic, wireless, and network installations at customer locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, network, and equipment faults.
- Perform site surveys, equipment testing, and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor network performance and escalate major faults when required.
- Configure routers, switches, access points, and other network devices.
- Ensure installations meet required technical and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, installations, faults, and repairs.
- Provide technical support to customers and coordinate with the Network Operations team.
- Respond promptly to service outages and field-related technical issues.
Requirements
- HND/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in ISP, telecommunications, networking, or a related technical environment.
- Knowledge of fiber optics, wireless networks, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and CPE.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in the field and travel to different locations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
