About the Role Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking a senior Field Engineer to provide field-level engineering support during active construction in Southern California. You will help manage earthwork, bridges, CIDH piles, retaining walls, roadways, and utilities, ensuring safety, quality, and alignment with design intent.

What You'll Do

• Provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction, including earthwork, bridge and structural elements (viaducts, foundations, CIDH piles, retaining walls), roadway, utilities, and grade separation elements.
• Review construction means and methods for compliance with plans, specifications, safety requirements, and constructability, focusing on structural work and sequencing.
• Understand how daily field activities impact critical path schedule, cost, risk, traffic handling, and public impacts; support resolution of field issues with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Identify potential downstream impacts early and proactively elevate issues to the RE/CM team.
• Support coordination between design intent, construction execution, and contract requirements; assist with RFIs, submittals, structural shop drawings, change orders, and field directives.
• Support quantity tracking, progress verification, pay estimate documentation; maintain accurate field records, daily reports, and photo documentation.
• Coordinate with inspectors, surveyors, utility owners, structural engineers of record, rail agencies (if applicable), and third-party stakeholders.
• Participate in construction meetings; provide informed technical input and communicate clearly with contractor supervision and client representatives.
• Support QA/QC processes and verification of work in place, particularly for structural concrete, foundations, and bridge elements.
• Reinforce safety expectations and compliance with project safety plans; assist with environmental commitments, traffic control, and public agency requirements.
• Onsite at client site with some in-person time for collaboration, learning, and relationship-building; Accenture aims to be flexible for work/life needs.

What We're Looking For

• 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in construction engineering or construction management.
• 10-15 years of experience on transportation infrastructure projects with significant structures components (bridges, grade separations, retaining walls).
• 10-15 years of experience in construction sequencing, means and methods, and contract documents.
• 10-15 years of experience with construction documentation systems and standard CM tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

• Contractor experience on transportation-related projects as a field engineer, superintendent, or project manager.
• Prior experience on public-sector projects in Southern California.
• Familiarity with Caltrans-style specifications, local agency standards, and utility coordination.
• Experience supporting change management and claims avoidance.
• Direct experience with bridge construction, CIDH piles, and structural concrete.
• EIT or PE (California).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: USD 150,000 - 180,000 yearly.
• Location: Los Angeles, CA; Onsite at client sites; flexible work arrangements.
