About the Role The Field Education Director for the BSSW and MSW programs at LIU Post Campus oversees the design, development, and management of field education experiences, ensuring CSWE and NYSED compliance, high-quality supervision, and alignment with the university mission to serve diverse communities.

What You'll Do

• Develop and recruit a network of field education sites for BSSW and MSW student placements, ensuring CSWE and NYSED certification requirements are met and that sites have qualified staff to provide supervision and a professional learning environment.
• Establish and monitor Affiliation Agreements between clinical sites and the University; manage renewals and ongoing compliance.
• Support students and faculty: onboarding, clarifying field requirements, guiding placement interviews, facilitating communication among students, faculty, and agencies, and resolving placement issues.
• Manage Field Education program administration: maintain EXXAT database, keep records for agencies/instructors/students, ensure policy and accreditation compliance, assist in policy/procedure development, and generate accreditation/licensure reports.
• Monitor and evaluate: conduct site visits as needed, oversee student and site evaluations, review field instructor evaluations, and manage SWEAP data/portal to ensure timely distribution and return of assessments and analyze outcomes.
• Other: oversee content for the SIFI course; proctor SIFI courses for supervisors; engage with supervisors; review and update Field Education syllabi and the Student Field Manual (and Appendix).

What We're Looking For

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program with a minimum of 2 years post-master’s practice experience.
• Experience in educational administration, preferably in higher education; strong knowledge of CSWE Field Education requirements.
• Experience in Field Education in higher education and/or as a field instructor; proficiency with data management systems and digital platforms; project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with various stakeholders.
