ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Field DTP Operator to produce accurate, visually appealing and technically print-ready artwork in line with client briefs, brand specifications and production requirements.

The successful candidate will have strong DTP, layout and retail leaflet experience, together with a sound understanding of the printing industry. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify potential print and production issues, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

ROLE OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce accurate, high-quality artwork in accordance with client briefs and specifications.

• Prepare artwork to ensure files are technically correct and print-ready.

• Maintain a high standard of brand consistency and integrity across all artwork.

• Produce and supply proofs within agreed turnaround times.

• Interpret and action client and management requests accurately and efficiently.

• Analyse artwork and identify potential technical or print-production issues before final output.

• Communicate potential print problems to the relevant technical or repro team.

• Ensure artwork meets required quality and production standards.

• Maintain excellent customer service and respond professionally to client requirements.

• Manage deadlines effectively while maintaining accuracy and quality.

• QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Desktop Publishing (DTP) or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years' relevant experience in DTP design and/or layout.

• Sound knowledge and understanding of the printing industry.

• Retail leaflet layout experience.

• Experience working on the Apple Mac platform.

• Strong working knowledge of relevant DTP software packages.

• The ideal candidate will be an experienced DTP professional who is comfortable working with high-volume retail artwork and leaflet layouts, understands the technical requirements of print production and can consistently deliver accurate, print-ready artwork within demanding turnaround times.
